Parc Naturel D'armorique
- a National Park which provides many pleasant hikes, as well as opportunities to view local wildlife.
The Pink Granite Coast - where you can discover small hamlets, traditional fishing ports and lots of lovely seafood restaurants.
The Nantes to Brest Canal - a 350 km long canal, which is twinned with the Wiltshire and Berkshire Canal Trust. A good variety of walks and cycle routes are available to enjoy along this gentle route.
Morlaix - approximately 30 minutes away. A lovely town where you can visit 'Fest nos' (a food and dance festival) on Wednesday evenings from 7pm until late. Lots of lovely French food and wine are on offer, so why not enjoy the great atmosphere through the summer months?
Heulgoat - a lovely village with a spectacular lake which boasts many creperies where you can eat and enjoy the view. There are also forest walks featuring some of the most amazing giant stones you will ever see.
Concarneau - about 1 hr away. A historic walled town on the south coast. It has a fine selection of quality restaurants and even better shops! Don't miss the chocolate shop that makes its own hand-made chocolate animals, it really is a treat.
Brest - Brittanys largest city. It is home to Oceanopolis, Europe's largest Sea Life Centre. It has a wide range of marine life on display from very unusual fish to penguins, sharks and much more. Well worth a visit.
